Don Cameroné gets his revenge
It looks like the cat-and-mouse battle between Don Cameroné and Ol' Baz may soon be coming to a close.
If you have no idea what we're on about, you can get fully caught up here, or...
In the meantime, here're the cliff notes:
Don Cameroné = Cameron Winklevoss (CEO of Gemini).
Ol' Bazz = Barry Silbert (Head of Genesis).
Ol' Bazz's company owes Don Cameroné's customers ~$900M, and has been dodging him for months now.
But Ol' Bazz's Genesis just filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy....
Which usually involves a bunch of outside lawyers & accountants coming in and trying to settle the fallen company's debts.
Which means vindication may soon be Don Cameroné's!
At least, some level of vindication...as the news of 'bankruptcy filing' suggests, Genesis is unlikely to be flush with cash.
BUT - there are at least eight unique and publicly tracked wallet addresses owned by Genesis, that total $307M.
And they were moving ~$125M between exchanges right up until the filing was announced - which, according to CoinDesk, is:
"A sign the business was still running at least somewhat as normal."
Sure, it's not a Liam-Neeson-in-Taken kind of win.
But it's something!
