NFTs just hit the travel industry

Ever woken up after a big night out, to multiple flight confirmation emails and non-refundable hotel bookings, in Italy?

...with a note stuck to your forehead, from your last-nights-self, reading: "It's self care, don't @ me"?

Well, the next time that happens, you might have a fall back plan.

A new startup called Takyon lets you buy and sell (or resell) vacation bookings, through NFTs.

Users can buy travel experiences for ~20% less than other vacation sites.

The bookings are then minted as NFTs which can be resold on Takyon's marketplace, should plans suddenly change (or the whole ‘felt like a good idea at the time’ energy wears off).

Is this for everyone? No.

Is the website a little limited? Yeah.

Either way, it’s always great to see another interesting use case for NFTs.

Let’s see how this one plays out.
