One NFT wallet to host them all… sort of…

actually not really (at least not yet).

Last week, we wrote about 'interoperability' in Web3.

(Which is a great term to use when you want to look cool in front of your tech friends).

It simply means: everything works, seamlessly.

To put it into a Web3 context, interoperability means information can be shared across different blockchain networks, without restrictions or user know-how.

To say 'everything works, seamlessly' when trying to store different types of NFTs, would be like saying IKEA furniture is quick and easy to assemble.

You can say it, but we're not going to believe it.

At the moment, you need a specific type of wallet, in order to store specific NFTs.

For example:

  • Yoroi for Cardano based NFTS

  • Phantom for Solana based NFTs

  • MetaMask for Ethereum based NFTs

BitMark's Autonomy Wallet aims to solve this interoperability problem.

...but it isn't quite there yet.

The idea of having one wallet to host all of your NFTs, regardless of what blockchain they're native to?

Two thumbs, way up - we love it!

...only issue is, as of this writing, the Autonomy Wallet currently only hosts Ethereum and Tezos NFTs.

That being said, CoinDesk had a chat with a BitMark rep, who told them:

"The company plans on adding more integrations in the coming months".

Fair play, BitMark. Patience is a virtue.
