All Your Crypto Wallets in One Place (Now It's a Thing)
TL;DR
MoonPay has just launched a consumer app which lets users manage multiple crypto wallets, all in a single place.
If you've played around in the crypto space for long enough, chances are you have at least a few wallets to keep track of.
Having them all in one place sounds like an ideal user experience - let's just hope the consumer app is as seamless and secure as their core on-ramp/off-ramp product.
Full Story
To date, MoonPay has pretty much been known for one (boring, but vital) thing: crypto infrastructure.
It's one of the biggest companies to provide crypto on and off-ramps.
(I.e. a way for people to convert fiat currency like USD into crypto, and back into fiat).
As a result they've helped, and we quote, "millions of customers" connect their wallets as an on-ramp and off-ramp into the crypto space.
Decentralization may be about owning your data, but hey, in this instance MoonPay has a lot of data to analyze.
Like, for example, being able to see that 55% of their users have transacted with three or more wallets (!!)
Which brings us to the news: MoonPay has just launched a consumer app which lets users manage multiple crypto wallets, all in a single place.
Here's why this is smart:
Without sounding too much like a paid ad (this isn't), MoonPay are good at creating products that just work.
Unlike some of the new companies that enter the space with similar products, many consumers have used, and recognize, MoonPay - for example when converting USD to ETH in MetaMask.
Plus, this is a real problem.
If you've played around in the crypto space for long enough, chances are you have at least a few wallets to keep track of.
It can be an impossible task!
Having them all in one place sounds like an ideal user experience - let's just hope the consumer app is as seamless and secure as their core on-ramp/off-ramp product.
