Miami better watch itself, Austin is coming for their 'crypto friendly' crown.

The wave of blockchain adoption continues, this time in Texas, where a new proposed initiative from Austin city council will look to add:

“the acceptance of Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies as payment for municipal taxes, fees, and penalties”

Would it be smart to part with your Bitcoin to pay a parking fine? Absolutely not.

The exciting thing here is the fact that another major city is onboarding cryptocurrency, adding further momentum to the broader adoption curve.

Mila Kunis’ Studio launches an NFTV show, where you can vote on the ending

Here's something cool: 'The Gimmicks', led by Mila Kunis' production studio, is letting fans shape its story.

Fans can cast their vote on storyline options by holding one of the 10,000 NFTs, which will be released to the public on March 18.

There's a part of us that keeps waiting for the momentum behind Web3 and crypto to die down. Not because we want it to, but because we lived through 2017.

The EU vs. Bitcoin (a swing and a miss)

Remember that article we wrote yesterday about the EU essentially trying to ban Bitcoin mining?

Well, good news! The broader legislation passed without any language relating to the ban of Bitcoin's 'Proof of Work' mining consensus mechanism (aka method of creating and transacting the coins).

Instead the EU parliament opted to create regulation that is

"innovation-friendly and does not pose obstacles to the application of new technologies".

Neat!
