College athletes can now onboard into Web3 and make annual recurring revenue.

Former Denver Broncos quarter back, Tim Tebow (known to his friends - we're assuming - as 'T-Bone') has just outed himself as a Web3 degen.

T-Bone is launching an NFT platform for college athletes, called CAMPUS.io.

Here's the basic gist:

College athletes can now use their name and likeness to make money (previously this wasn't allowed).

T-Bone is using this opportunity to create a Solana-based NFT platform that lets college athletes create 'NFT clubs.'

...what does that look like?

Let's say you join Will Rogers' (quarterback at Mississippi State) 'Cowboy Club'...

A 12 month pass will set you back $99, getting you:

  • An invitation to a private party with Will & the rest of your fellow Cowboy Club members in Starkville.

  • Limited-edition poster autographed by Will.

  • Members-only content from Will (viewed on the Club Members page)

  • 5,000 CAMPUS points (points help you move up the fan leaderboards and can earn you exclusive prizes)

And, of course, a new Cowboy Club NFT - delivered to your account monthly.

(Which can be used to showcase your OG Will Rogers fandom and/or sold on the secondary market as rare NFTs).

Each club has a maximum capacity, in Will's case it's 3,000 members - which will net him about $300K a year, if sold out.

(Plus, we're going to assume he'll make a percentage cut of every Cowboy Club NFT sold on the secondary market).

All in all, it feels like a pretty smart application of Web3 technology.

Two thumbs up!
