Create NFTs, straight from your phone.
Alright, so this is both cool, and a bit of a let down...
The file sharing app, WeTransfer, will soon allow users to create NFTs straight from their smart phone.
Here's the cool part:
Have you ever tried to create an NFT?
It's relatively straight forward if you're using a site like OpenSea - and if you get stuck, there's a bunch of helpful information available on YouTube.
...but that doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement.
A slick, easy to use, mobile-first experience would be awesome!
Here's the let down:
The NFTs will be created and shared via the Minima network.
Never heard of the Minima network? Neither!
Which is kind of a problem. You see, in many ways, NFT blockchain networks are similar to smart phone platforms (like Android and iOS).
If there's a popular app available on one, but not the other - it reduces usability.
Right now, Ethereum & Polygon are kind of like the iPhone's iOS operating system, while Solana is like Android.
Minima is like...errr...Blackberry? Yeah. Let's go with Blackberry.
Point is: the user base is waaaaay smaller.
So, sure - you'll be able to create NFTs on your phone, but you'll only be able to share them with other Minima users.
Which is akin to asking your friends to get a Blackberry, so you can all use the same app.
