It's stuff like this that'll onboard the masses into Web3.

Ever wondered what Pokemon Go would look/feel like, if it was re-launched as a Web3 game?

We might be about to find out...

A couple of electronic music heavyweights - Deadmau5 and Richie Hawtin - have partnered up to create Pixelnyx.

The idea behind the platform is:

“To create an exciting new physical and digital music ecosystem for artists to launch and control their own interactive experiences through playable worlds and NFTs.”

Honestly, we have no idea what that really means - it just sounds like run of the mill PR fluff...

BUT! It's how the Pixelynx team are planning to launch their 'Elynxir music metaverse game platform,' that we love.

The platform goes live this week, at Miami’s Art Basel, with the introduction of an augmented reality scavenger hunt set on Miami Beach.

How’s this going to onboard folks into Web3?

One of the investors in Pixelynx is Niantic, the creator of Pokémon Go - and apparently anyone who’s played Pokemon Go in the past, should be able to pick up on how to play Elynxir pretty damn quickly.

The difference is, when you sign up, you’re gifted an NFT.

No need to connect your own wallet immediately (although you can) - either way, you’ve basically been Miyagi’d into owning an NFT.

Combine some star power for marketing; a fun game for people to come back to; and accidentally owning NFTs as a result...

That’s got potential.
