Alright, let's dial down the heat and cool off.

How? By taking a minute to appreciate how early we all are in this space.

Why's that worth appreciating? Because the earlier we are, the more room Web3 has to grow!

Turns out nobody has heard of the metaverse.

What're we basing this off? Incomplete and anecdotal data, of course!

On Thursday's episode of Jeopardy, the contestants were asked to find the correct term, from this prompt:

Neal Stephenson coined this word in his 1992 novel "Snow Crash"; It was later shortened by a company to become its new name.

The answer? You guessed it: Metaverse.

...but none of them got it. They weren't even close - their answers were: Uber, Avalanche, and Powder.

And sure, they're just three people on a game show.

And yeah, maybe our friends and family are right when they say we need to get some more hobbies outside of Web3...

Our point is: misguided or not, it's cool to feel like you're at the "what's an 'email'?" moment of Web3, no?
