Damn! Reddit's NFT program keeps kicking goals
(...and continues to smear egg on our faces).
Reddit has just released its third-gen NFT avatar collection, adding thousands more tokens from over 100 artists.
A launch that crashed the avatar shop's servers!
So what's new with the drop? Well, according to Reddit, the avatars (featuring Reddit's 'Snoo' mascot) have been reimagined by 100+ artist, who will each earn royalties on their work.
Which in and of itself is very cool, because...
The more Reddit supports NFT collectibles → the more popular they become → the more they're traded → the more these artists earn in royalties.
But you know what's even cooler than that?
The model Reddit is proving here. For anyone looking from the outside in, wondering if NFT collections can work - Reddit is screaming:
"YES! They can work. Even in a bear market. And even when you're selling them to an audience who initially rejected the concept."
We love to see it.
