Steph Curry enters the metaverse race.
Another Web3 related trademark was just lodged!
This time, it was from legendary NBA star, Steph Curry.
The trademark? 'CURRYVERSE.'
It looks like Curry is planning to sell "apparel, footwear, belts, headgear, sports bags, watches, artwork, and other virtual products" in the metaverse.
Plus offer a virtual game; and use it for "accepting and administering monetary charitable contributions."
Here's why this makes sense:
SC is no stranger to the world of Web3. He's a huge collector of NFTs (even sporting a Bored Ape as his Twitter profile pic).
Chances are, he has a good handle on what this technology is, and how it can be used for good.
Here's why this is great for Web3:
Curry has had an amazing career - 4x NBA champion, 8x NBA All-Star, not to mention the most 3-pointers in NBA history...which has earned him a massive fan base!
A fan base, who will most likely be willing to onboard into Web3, if it means Steph will have a presence there.
We love to see it!
