The ‘Neapolitan Ice Cream’ of NFT Projects
TL;DR
Artists, Mat Collishaw and Danil Krivoruchko, have teamed up with snark.art and EL-GABAL, to create the Heterosis NFT project.
Collectors can mint a Heterosis flower NFT which comes out with its own unique combination of traits based on the content of the collector's wallet.
Owners can then 'cross-pollinate' that NFT with another Heterosis NFT, creating new and exotic digital flower species.
Owners can decide whether to keep their current flower, or to replace it with the new one (meaning the total number of NFTs in the collection remains the same).
Full Story
This story feels a bit like a Neapolitan ice cream.
Putting three flavors of ice cream together isn't the craziest thing in the world, but we're glad it exists.
Check out this art project: Heterosis
Artists, Mat Collishaw and Danil Krivoruchko, have teamed up with snark.art and EL-GABAL, to create a unique new NFT project.
Here's how it works:
Collectors can mint a Heterosis flower NFT which comes out with its own unique combination of traits based on the content of the collector's wallet.
Owners can then 'cross-pollinate' that NFT with another Heterosis NFT, becoming creators themselves.
Every time someone cross-breeds two Heterosis NFTs, totally new and exotic digital flower species are created.
Owners can then decide whether to keep their current flower, or to replace it with the new one (meaning the total number of NFTs in the collection remains the same).
Heterosis NFT holders can also enter an immersive and interactive metaverse greenhouse, where they can meet other collectors, talk, and see all of the flowers that have been minted so far.
As we said at the start:
This may not have some crazy utility associated with it or be the next Bored Ape Yacht Club collection, but we sure are glad it exists!
