Tim Ferriss enters Web3.

For followers of one of the most popular podcasts of all time - The Tim Ferriss Show - this may not come as much of a surprise.

For everyone else, Tim Ferriss just released his NFT project: 'The Legend of COCKPUNCH.'

It's one of the more bizarre projects we've heard about recently, which is exactly why we love it.

There's no Discord, and no planned utility.

What it does have, however, is a fictional, narrative podcast, written by Tim, that will share the lore of the project’s fantasy world.

Plus all of the proceeds from the initial sale are going to the Saisei Foundation which funds research into treatments related to psychedelics, life extension, mental health, and other things.

And so far, people are loving it!

The full series of NFTs sold out soon after launch, each priced at 0.3ETH (~$370).

Since then, secondary market prices have surged, with the NFTs selling a bit over 3000ETH worth (~3.7M) beating out massive projects like CryptoPunks and Azuki over the last 24 hours.

Does this mean NFTs are reverting from the utility trend, back to expensive profile pics (PFPs)? Probably not.

Does it show that someone, who has added a ton of value, for free, for many years through his podcast, can pull off a PFP project even in the middle of a bear market? Absolutely it does.

Tim Ferriss has a lot of clout, and the more people with global audiences who jump into Web3, the quicker innovation can happen.

Nice Timmy!
