UK's new PM is a crypto bull (but he might want to keep that on the dl)

Remember that scene in the Batman trilogy, where they're talking about firing Commissioner Gordon and that one dude pipes up with:

"But, he's a hero," and his buddy responds "He's a war hero, this is peace time."

This is the opposite of that.

Crypto bull, Rishi Sunak, just got elected as the UK's new Prime Minister - and there's a lot of excitement within the Web3 space because of it.

How big of a bull is he? We'll say this: he's the guy that wanted the Royal Mint (a 1000-year-old government institution) to release an NFT.

So yeah, total degen!

But here's a big ol' caveat:

As far as the economy is concerned, these ain't peace times - Rishi is coming into the job while his country is at war with inflation.

And his predecessor, Liz Truss, just got kicked out (in record time) for enacting what was widely considered to be risky financial policies.

And crypto is still seen by many as 'high risk'...so if Rishi is smart (politically), he might want to tone down his excitement around blockchain technology.

Coming in hard and fast with government level crypto integration, in the current financial / social / political climate...

That would be akin to talking to your right-leaning father in-law about the wonders of Marxism, over dinner, on the 4th of July.

(I.e. there's a time and place, and this probably ain't it).
