Cameron Winklevoss goes full Liam Neeson

Picture a loan shark.

Now imagine he went to private school, and played Lacrosse on the weekends.

Sprinkle in a bit of Liam-Neeson's-general-vibe-in-the-movie-Taken, and you have Cameron Winklevoss' open letter to Digital Currency Group's (DCG) CEO, Barry Silbert.

Here's what you need to know:

  • DCG owes $900M to the customers of Don Cameroné's company, Gemini. Specifically, users of the Earn program.

(And yes, that's what we'll be calling Cameron from here on out).

  • Don Cameroné had patiently waited 47 days for ol' Baz to make good on his debts, before writing the letter. But the time for diplomacy has passed.

  • Don Cameroné has given Barry until the 8th of Jan, to pay what he owes.

  • If he doesn't, Don Cameroné has a very particular set of skills lawyers, lawyers he has acquired over a very long career...lawyers that make him a nightmare for people like Barry.

  • If Barry lets Don Cameroné's daughter customers' money go now, that'll be the end of it. He will not pursue him.

  • But if Barry doesn't, Don Cameroné will look for him, he will find him, and he will sue him.

...or at least that's the subtext we're reading.

(Maybe we need to get more sleep?)
