SBF arrested and hit with eight criminal charges!

( We've been sitting on this .gif for a while, excited to be able to use it!)

Here're the charges that Sam Bankman-Fried is looking at:

  1. Conspiracy to commit wire fraud on customers

  2. Wire fraud on customers

  3. Conspiracy to commit wire fraud on lenders

  4. Wire fraud on lenders

  5. Conspiracy to commit commodities fraud

  6. Conspiracy to commit securities fraud

  7. Conspiracy to commit money laundering

  8. Conspiracy to defraud the United States and violate the campaign finance laws

Basically, six counts of attempting to do 'the thing,' and two counts of actually doing 'the thing.'

(They mustn't hold SBF's ability to execute in very high regard).

All of these charges came from the Complex Frauds and Cybercrime Unit at the Southern District of New York US Attorney’s Office.

Add to that:

A lawsuit from the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), over alleged violations of federal commodities laws, and we have some long awaited forward movement, on what seems to be a pretty cut and dry case of fraud.

Oh and news has just broken that SBF has been denied bail, which means he'll be staying at Fox Hill prison, in the Bahamas.

(One of the top 5 worst prisons in the world).

Looks like all the goodwill bought with those political donations has dried up.
