SBF's court hearing got weird...
Out of context, some of the exchanges in Sam Bankman-Fried's court hearing yesterday, were kind of wild!
Hell, even with context it was all a bit strange:
SBF asked to take his shirt off...and was denied.
(This was so he could flex on 'em take his medication).
The judge admitted to have been hitting the drink recently.
(While battling with the decision of whether to grant SBF bail).
“On a good day, I don’t drink. Ask anybody,” she said. “But yesterday, I was sure gonna drink.”
SBF's dad had his fingers in both his ears.
(Seemingly to drown out the details of the hearing).
While SBF's mom could be heard scoffing at the charges.
(She didn't like her son being referred to as a fugitive).
As we learned yesterday, SBF was denied bail on his eight counts of fraud/fraud adjacent charges, and is now residing in the Bahamas Fox Hill prison - which is one of the top 5 worst rated prisons on Yelp.
(That last bit was a joke, we don't know where it sits on Yelp - but it is one of the worst prisons in the world).
We're calling it now: the Netflix documentary's tagline will be 'From Penthouse to Prison Cell.'
