Visa - A Half-a-Trillion Dollar Company - Is Still Bullish on Crypto.
So, we're originally from Australia.
And we've noticed Australians have habit of 'claiming' famous people as their own...regardless of whether its strictly true or not.
For example:
Russel Crowe, is actually from New Zealand.
Mel Gibson, is from Peekskill, New York? Literally had no idea that was the case until writing this article.
Nicole Kidman, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii (to Australian parents, on study visas. She's Australian, ok. Just let us have this one).
The point we're trying to make is: hearsay is powerful, but it can't always be trusted.
This applies, especially, in the crypto world - with the latest example of 'hearsay back-and-forth' coming from Reuters and Visa.
Reuters recently reported that Visa is “slamming the brakes” on new partnerships with crypto-related firms, in the midst of heightened industry scrutiny, post FTX.
...a claim that a spokesperson Visa quickly refuted:
“The recent failures do not change our crypto strategy and focus to serve as a bridge, helping connect both platforms and technologies emerging in the crypto ecosystem,
That is where we have been investing and plan to continue to invest.”
The key takeaways:
Don't trust Australians RE: 'celebrity attribution.'
Visa, a half-a-trillion dollar company, is still bullish on crypto.
Mel Gibson is American (ha-ha, he's your problem now).
Nicole is still ours and we will die on this hill.
